Privacy Policy

Account info: Your Google account email and name, used solely for authentication via Google OAuth.

Bookmarks: URLs, titles, and descriptions you save. Stored in your Supabase database.

Reading activity: Which bookmarks you mark as read, for your personal stats and reminders.

AI API keys: Your API keys are stored in your browser's localStorage only. They are never sent to or stored on our servers.

Browsing history: We do not track pages you visit. The extension only sends data when you explicitly click "Save."

Page content: Full article text is fetched server-side for reader mode but is not permanently stored.

Analytics or tracking: No third-party analytics, ads, or tracking scripts.

The Sanchay browser extension uses your existing session cookie to authenticate with the Sanchay server.

It accesses the active tab's URL and title only when you click "Save" or use the context menu.

No data is collected in the background or without your action.

AI features (Summarize, Dehype, ELI5, Auto-tag) use your own API key to call the provider you choose (Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, Groq, or Perplexity).

Article content is sent to the AI provider you selected, subject to their privacy policy.

We do not store AI responses beyond what you see in the app.

Data is stored in Supabase (PostgreSQL) with Row Level Security — you can only access your own data.

All connections use HTTPS.

You can export all your data (JSON, CSV, Markdown) or delete your bookmarks at any time from Settings.
